sketch & color drills - " the best way to learn to draw is to draw - all the time or as often as possible. When drawing. the human figure-it is a good exercise to draw a model in motion as well as at rest. Videos of dancers are my favorite source of study of kinetic material. You can stop the video at will to give careful attention to difficult subjects like the knee joint. "When you draw from life draw the activity of the body rather than the body itself. An understanding of FORM is gained from a study of FUNCTION. A good source of fast rendering styles is Comic Books - where you will see dynamic Stylizations of motion to save time. But leaning on these" short cut styles" while helpful in meeting Publishing Deadlines, can become monotonous. Experimenting with as many out of position studies gleaned from dance instruction videos as possible will give you a confidence in rendering living forms [e.g. animals] .

Horses are difficult for me to draw~ and I got a "Stein & Goldstein [Central Park] style Carousel idea that's been hounding me. But I've got a good source - WIKI COMMONS _ Plus numerous Public Domain sights for the materials I need. The Music for my inspiration is Baroque Pipe Organ music - in particular for this Project - Bach's Goldberg Variations! Sublime Music for a Surreal [I hope] Carousel!
